David McKillop is an accomplished media executive with extensive experience across a spectrum of high-level corporate functions, encompassing creative direction, marketing strategy, and business development initiatives. His multifaceted expertise has consistently driven organizational growth and innovation in the media landscape.
In his role as General Manager at A&E, David was pivotal in the development and executive production of ‘Duck Dynasty,’ the most-watched nonfiction series in cable history. His portfolio also includes other successful series such as ‘Storage Wars,’ and the critically acclaimed scripted dramas ‘Bates Motel’ and ‘Longmire.’ During his tenure as the head of the History channel, he oversaw the production of leading series like ‘Pawn Stars,’ ‘Ice Road Truckers,’ ‘American Pickers,’ ‘Ax Men,’ and ‘Swamp People.’ He also served as Executive Producer for a number of highly-regarded and top-rated HISTORY specials, including the Emmy® award-winning ‘Gettysburg’ and ‘102 Minutes that Changed America.’ Prior to these roles, David held the position of Vice President of Production at Discovery Channel, where he managed iconic shows such as ‘Dirty Jobs,’ ‘Mythbusters,’ and ‘American Chopper.’
